Terms of Use.

Published October 23, 2026 · Dadsthatcode LLC · Pre-release draft

Pre-launch notice: These are proposed terms for an unreleased product, provided now for transparency and review. They are not proof a user has accepted them. The final version and an affirmative acceptance flow must be implemented before public access or paid subscriptions.

1. Parties and scope

These Terms of Use are proposed for CORDKIN TV (the "Service"), a television playback and cloud DVR software product being developed by Dadsthatcode LLC ("CORDKIN," "we," or "us"). They are intended to govern a user's access to the Service when it launches, together with the app privacy policy and applicable platform or payment terms.

2. Software service, not a programming subscription

CORDKIN TV provides or plans to provide technical functions for connecting to compatible sources, viewing available programming, scheduling recordings, and accessing recordings. A CORDKIN TV subscription is not a license to television channels, movies, sports, or other third-party programming. We do not represent that we own or are affiliated with any IPTV provider, channel, network, or rights holder unless expressly stated. Program listings, logos, metadata, and source configurations do not, by themselves, authorize access or recording.

3. Your IPTV provider and its terms

You are responsible for selecting an authorized content source and confirming that your access to it is lawful. You must review and comply with your IPTV or television provider's agreement, including any restrictions on concurrent connections, playback, caching, time-shifting, recording, cloud storage, sharing, downloads, and device use.

We do not guarantee that a provider permits recording merely because its content is viewable or technically recordable. A provider may change its streams, credentials, guide data, subscription status, features, or policies without notice. The Service may not work with every source, and compatibility does not constitute endorsement, approval, or verification of that source's legal rights.

4. Your recording instructions and responsibility

You decide which programs to record and when to record them. When you initiate, schedule, or enable a recording, you direct the Service's technical systems to attempt that recording and, if supported, store and deliver it for authorized account access. We may handle, transmit, process, and temporarily or persistently store media to perform that instruction.

Before recording, you must determine that you are permitted to do so under applicable law, any relevant content-rights restrictions, and your provider's terms. You must not direct the Service to infringe copyrights, bypass access controls or digital rights management, evade provider restrictions, or distribute material without authorization. If authorization is uncertain, do not record until you have confirmed it.

Recording for personal viewing is not automatically lawful in every situation, and possession of valid viewing credentials does not itself establish permission to create or retain a copy. A user's ability to access a file is not proof that the user owns the underlying program.

5. Recordings, account control, and copyright ownership

Recordings requested by you are treated as user-directed material for your authorized account use, subject to the Service's design and access controls. You control your recording requests, but copyright and other rights in the underlying programs remain with their respective owners. Nothing in these terms transfers program copyrights to you or to Dadsthatcode LLC.

Some technically compatible requests using the same provider account may share an underlying capture while retaining separate access permissions. You must not share recordings, your account, or provider credentials in ways that violate law or applicable provider terms.

6. Responsibility for unauthorized use and our legal obligations

You are responsible for violations arising from content sources and recording instructions you choose or supply, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You agree not to use the Service to access, reproduce, or share content without authorization.

We do not warrant that third-party providers possess necessary rights, that their statements are accurate, or that their feeds and terms will remain unchanged. Nothing here eliminates Dadsthatcode LLC's own responsibilities under applicable law, including obligations concerning its software, data handling, security, copyright complaints, or conduct. Any contractual allocation or limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law.

7. Complaints, enforcement, and copyright claims

We may restrict access, suspend accounts, disable recordings, investigate credible complaints, or remove material where appropriate to protect users, providers, rights holders, or our service and to comply with law. We intend to adopt and reasonably implement a repeat-infringer policy before launch.

For copyright or other content-rights concerns, please email [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify the work, the material or activity at issue, and a reliable way to contact you. This general contact address is not represented as an officially registered DMCA designated agent; any required designation and notice-and-takedown process will be handled separately before launch.

8. Service limits and availability

The Service is under development. Planned functions may vary by device, provider, region, technical capability, and subscription tier. Recordings may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or deleted because of provider changes, technical failures, account or quota restrictions, legal requirements, or user instructions. We will disclose final paid tiers and material limits before customers purchase them.

9. Accounts, subscriptions, and payments

Account holders must have legal capacity to agree to the applicable terms, maintain accurate account information, protect their login and source credentials, and use only authorized accounts and content. If paid plans are offered, the final checkout experience will identify pricing, recurring billing terms, cancellations, and applicable platform billing arrangements. No current public price or subscription entitlement is promised by this draft.

10. Deletion and account closure

Users will be able to request closure of their CORDKIN account and associated data under the account deletion process, subject to verification and lawful retention requirements. Deleting the CORDKIN account does not necessarily terminate an independently purchased IPTV subscription or an app-store subscription; users should follow the relevant provider's cancellation instructions.

11. Warranties and limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is offered subject to reasonable limitations concerning third-party content availability, provider compatibility, uninterrupted performance, and successful recordings. We do not provide a warranty that any particular provider grants recording rights or that all requested recordings will succeed. Any monetary liability limitation in final terms must be clearly stated and reviewed for enforceability; this draft does not claim blanket immunity from responsibility and does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

12. Updates, acceptance, and contact

We will finalize, date, and publish these terms before launch and obtain the applicable user acceptance in the product. Material changes will be communicated or re-accepted as required by law or platform rules.

Planned in-app recording confirmation: “I confirm that I am authorized to access this source and to record the selected programming under my provider's terms and applicable law. I understand CORDKIN TV provides recording technology, not programming rights.” This statement must be implemented as an affirmative user action where applicable; displaying it here does not record consent.
